É um documentário essencial para quem gosta de música em geral, obrigatório para quem curte eletrônica, independente de gêneros.

A série faz um relato dos primórdios da house music desde as suas raízes na disco no fim dos anos 70 em Chicago e Nova York. Sua evolução nos anos 80/90 com a ascenção da cultura DJs/clubs. Toda a revolução sócio-cultural causada principalmente na Inglaterra com as raves e a acid house. As mutações para sub-gêneros que ganharam vida própria. Até chegarmos a disseminação mundial da cultura club no século XXI.

Pump Up The Volume was a 3 part documentary aired in 2001 on the British CHannel 4. This version was translated and subtitled to Portuguese by myself.

It´s an essential material for music lovers in general, especially for electronic music fans.

The series tells the history of house music since its disco roots in the late 70´s in Chicago and New York. The evolution througthout the 80´s/90´s with the assention of DJs/clubbing culture. All the social and cultural revolution ocurred mainly in England with raves and Acid House. The mutations to sub-genres that gained life themselves. Until the popularization of clubbing culture in the 21st Century.
